North and west of the river, post-war ranches and split-levels are more often forced air. An old system that was oversized will short-cycle if the new one copies it. Where the condenser sits, how the line set gets inside, and whether the pad is under a roof drip all change the quote. Permits are Manchester's, not the state's. Ask who files with the city's building inspection office before a replacement. Liberty Utilities delivers natural gas on some Manchester streets and not others. Oil and propane remain where there is no main. Electric service is usually Eversource. Confirm both on a bill. Ask for the load calculation and what the quote excludes. This site does not publish a dollar figure.
